Those familiar with Higuerón West know that it is one of the most environmentally friendly residential developments on the Costa del Sol, with a clear focus on sustainability, a strong focus on resident wellbeing and a sense of community, as well as beautiful landscaped gardens, park areas and natural green zones.

There are even organic vegetable gardens in the large master-planned urbanisation overlooking the sea near Fuengirola, and now a series of scenic pathways are being created that will take strollers through the beautiful #03greenbelt at Higuerón West. In all, there are four different routes, each with varying scenery and levels of difficulty.

Central Path

Measuring 1.55 kilometres, the Central Path provides a leisurely stroll through the Jacaranda Valley, the Cork Oak Valley, the Solarium, #04vegetablegardens and aromatic garden, including also the panoramic viewing point between Phases I and IV.

Healthy Path

The shortest, at 1.68 kilometres, it follows a similar trajectory to the Central Path, only this route offers a little more cardiovascular exercise to walk or jog as the terrain is that little bit hillier and more challenging. En route, you’ll pass the amphitheatre designed for community events.

River Path

This 2.02-kilometre route takes you around the top phases of Higuerón West to offer wonderful views over the urbanisation as it gently flows downhill in a series of valleys towards the Mediterranean Sea. Following this route, you will pass through a pine forest with benches and picnic spots.

Iron Path

From the Cork Oak Valley, past the viewing point between Phases I and IV to the amphitheatre, the herb and aromatic gardens, the #06petpark and #05picnicandplayareas, this 2.68-kilometre path reaches the southernmost phase of Higuerón West before concluding at the beautiful Jacaranda Valley.

Not only is Higuerón West endowed with gorgeous natural green zones that are carefully curated to add visual and sensorial wellbeing and quality of life for residents here, but the pathways also invite healthy activities such as walking and jogging. Walking, in particular, can either be an opportunity to stroll and collect one’s thoughts, socialise in a natural setting, run if you lead an active fitness regime, or follow a milder routine by walking at a brisk pace.

In any of these cases, we think you’ll love the chance to enjoy all that nature up close.
